Week 4 Monday SOAP: Wonderful Counselor

S- This also comes from the LORD of hosts, He is wonderful in counsel and excellent in wisdom.

O- He is a wonderful counselor and an excellent in wisdom.

A- The angel armies who live with God in heaven are letting us know that Jesus is the best counselor to go to for advice and guidance. He is magnificent and wonderful. His counseling is the BEST ever and its free of cost unlike the counselors here on earth. He is wiser and cares about us individually with unconditional love, He will guide us and give us the best advice ever. Go to Him for everything, go to your Wonderful Counselor. I love what Jen said in today's blog: God doesn’t just love, he is love. He doesn’t just execute justice, he is justice. He doesn’t just have all the answers, he is the answer. He is everything!!!!

P- Lord Jesus my Wonderful Counselor, thank you for loving me so much, for providing all that I need to get by as I live on earth. Thank you for being my counselor every day and guiding me on the path of righteousness. Thank you for giving me another day to be alive and worship you and love you. Another day to do my best for you and show you just how much I need you every moment of my life. Continue to direct me and show me what it is I'm am purposed to do for you. May your will be done through me Lord and not my own. I love you, all praise and glory to you forever and ever. In Your precious name, Jesus, amen.

Has your Counselor perished? No! this cannot be, for Jesus ever lives as your Advocate. Then why yield to despondency or despair? Why succumb to your difficulty, and sink beneath your load? Your perplexity is nothing with Christ. What is all dark to you, is all light to Him. What to you is an entangled skein, is to Him a perfect mosaic. He can bring you out of all your difficulties, opening a way for your escape from all your troubles, make the crooked path straight and the rough place smooth. “Commit your way to Him, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.”

Week 4 Challenge & Memory Verse "Wonderful Counselor"

 WEEK 4 Challenge:
Wisdom is more than knowledge. It is biblical knowledge applied to life. Identify two areas in your life that you would like to grow in (ex.: Faith, kindness, hospitality, love, forgiveness, deeper understanding of prayer or the character of God …). Ask God to work in you so that you become wise in these areas for your benefit, the benefit of others and to the glory of God.

WEEK 4 Memory Verse:
You can do it ladies, all these verses are amazing to memorize and keep close to heart.

Week 3 Friday SOAP & Response: Prince of Peace

S- These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.

O- Jesus overcame the world, because of that I have peace.

A- In Jesus I have peace, peace He has given to me by dieing on the cross and rising form the dead. I will have hard times in this world, but Jesus has given me peace in the midst of every tribulation  that comes my way based on the fact that He has overcame the world. Jesus has defeated satan through the cross. The only power satan can exercise over me is the power I allow him. When I, the child of God come against satan in the name of Jesus, on the basis of the cross, satan must yield to the authority of Jesus. Through my Jesus, even when at my weakest, have power over satan. It gives me such peace knowing that satan our enemy, has already been defeated. Jesus has control over this crazy world, just trust Him with EVERYTHING!!!!!

P- My sweet amazing Jesus, thank you for the victory over our enemy. Thank you for giving your life for me. I pray for all those who don't know what you did for them, that they come to know the peace you have so freely given to each one of them if they only believed and repented. I love you and praise you for the peace you gave me.

True peace in only found in Jesus Christ. Despite what we are told, without Christ our world will not experience peace. Jesus is the Prince of Peace – the creator of peace – and by His blood we are graciously granted peace.

Don't forget to read the blog that goes with todays study at LOVE GOD GREATLY http://www.lovegodgreatly.com/our-prince-of-peace/

Week 3 Thursday SOAP: Prince of Peace

S- Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that Great Shepherd if the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work ti do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever, Amen.

O- God of peace who brought up Jesus grin the dead, the great shepherd of the sheep.

A- Jesus is my Great Shepherd. John 10:11 " I am the Good Shepherd; I give my life for the sheep." Jesus will mature me in every good work to do His will. He gave His life for me, He loves me. That same power that rose him from the dead, is in me and with that power Jesus guides me and teaches me and makes me complete.

P- Lord Jesus, thank you for giving your life for me even when I was so undeserving of it, but You still died on that cross to save me. You gave me grace and mercy. Thank you! I want to be a better person for you. Lord, make me perfect in every good work to do your will. Love you and thank you of my life. In Your precious name Jesus, Amen.

Happy Thanksgiving ladies. I am so thankful for your friendships and blessed with your loving hearts. May God bless your family and day today. I love you all so much.

Megin

Week 3 Wednesday SOAP: Prince of Peace

S- Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

O- Do not worry or be anxious about anything, take it all to God in prayer and supplication with thanksgiving. Let God know your requests and He will bring you peace and guard your hearts and minds through Jesus.

A- Ahhhh I LOVE this verse. Our God is so wonderful to us. Reading the blog that goes with today's study, made me think of a situation I was in and made me see what God has done in my life since I finally took that situation into prayer and trusting Him with it. Not only has he given me the boldness to say what it is I want, but to also trust Him with it and with everything else in my life. So many things overwhelm us and bring anxiety into our lives that they tend to make us forget who our God is and the peace God gives us through Jesus. It's beyond our understanding, but it's there, right in our hearts, in our being. All I know is that when I go through storms in life that bring worry, anxiety, anger, confusion, when I take it all to God with a humbled heart, He hears me and He has not yet failed to fill me with the peace to get me through each storm. Jesus truly has the power to guard my heart and my mind and get me through storms I thought I could never overcome. He is my Prince of Peace and when my flesh tends to believe what the world wants me to believe I fall apart and the storms get worse, Jesus is my only peace and there is turning back now. PRAY ABOUT EVERYTHING!!!

P- Dear God, rule over every anxious thought that comes to me. Keep filling me with Your peace and when my flesh wants to believe what the world has to say, please let my heart be reminded of who I have on my side. You are my everything and I give you every storm that comes my way. I trust you with it all. Thank you for adopting me and changing my life in the last few years, for opening the door to let me really get to know you God. You are amazing and your love for me is unconditional. I owe you my life and I give it all to You. In Jesus name, Amen

Week 3 Tuesday SOAP: Prince of Peace

S- Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

O- Peace He leaves us and gives to us. Do not be afraid or troubled by this world.

A- Jesus left us two awesome gifts, the Holy Spirit and His peace. He gave me the Holy Spirit to be my HELPER and teach me all things and remind me of all things Jesus has said. Jesus also gave me His peace. This makes me think about the time when the disciples were on the boat and it was sinking and Jesus was sleeping, not troubled from it or worried about it, He was in peace. That peace that comes through perfect confidence that our Father is in control of everything in my life. The same peace Jesus had is the kind of peace He leaves and gives me. These gifts don't exclude the storms of life, but promises me to the POWER and the PEACE to get through the storms.

P- Heavenly Father, thank you for sending your helper. The Holy Spirit is so alive and so powerful, so helpful and so loving. You knew what we needed and you gave so freely. Thank you for the peace you left me, the peace knowing you are in control over everything in my life and that I don't need to worry or stress over it. Forgive me for the times that I do fall prey to worry and stress and not go to you first. As I am learning Father, keep filling me with all that I need to stay on your path and to live in the peace Jesus did on that boat. In Jesus name, Amen.

Week 3 Monday SOAP: Prince of Peace

S- And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!"

O- The angel and the heavens were praising God in heaven and on earth.

A- The most exciting event in the history of the world has just taken place, God has taken on a human form that He might visit men to redeem him, WOW!!! And as if one angel wasn't enough to seal the deal there was and entire troop of angles saying, “Glory to God in the highest!”  I don’t think the words do the moment justice. I believe there was a tingling in the atmosphere that can’t be replicated with words. I believe there was a charge of great happiness mixed with the power of God’s presence radiating through these heavenly host that CAN NOT be described. A time and place like no other that only these lowly shepherds got to witness on this holy night. Awesome! The angels were praising God for HIs wonderful Salvation, Jesus. We should all sing praises to God everyday and thank Him and worship Him because He is worthy of our praises. He gave us a free gift, the best gift ever and that is His excellent gift of Salvation in His son Jesus!!!!! God did not give salvation to the angels, He brought salvation to any man who would receive His great and precious promise, Jesus. He gave us Peace, the Prince of Peace, without Him we would have no peace on earth. God is our salvation. All praise and glory to God.

P- Lord, You are my Prince of Peace. Thank you for sending your Son to be born of a virgin woman to give me salvation and bring me peace here on earth. Let me never forget what you have done for me. You are amazing and I love you!. In the name of Jesus, Amen!

Week 2 Friday SOAP & Response: Jehovah Rohi

S- Know that the Lord, He is God! It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.

O- He is God, He made us, we are His.

A- God is sovereign. He is the creator of all, including me!!!!! I belong to Him. All who come into fellowship with Him through Jesus Christ are His people and the sheep of His pasture. He is my loving shepherd. The society we live in constantly persuades us to live for ourselves as though we were the center of our own little world. Pushed to live life for self, we can easily give into the world's influence. It's so important for us to realize that we were created for God's pleasure. And the more you get to know Him, the more you will desire to please Him and to offer your sincere praise and honor. He should be getting all the praise not man!!!

P- Father God, thank you for your goodness towards me and all your children. All that I have is because of you, thank you. All praise and glory to You forever and ever. I love you more each day. In Jesus name, Amen.

But God is a faithful shepherd. He clothes us, feeds us, befriends us, protects us, and shows us the way to go.

Week 2 Thursday SOAP: Jehovah Rohi

S- Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.

O- There is joy in heaven when one sinner (sheep) who was lost is found and repents.

A- Jesus expresses that there is incredible JOY in heaven over ONE sinner who repents. Jesus told the Pharisees who criticized Him for touching and eating with sinners, that their hearts were not in harmony with heaven. If their hearts were they would be rejoicing when a sinner had repented. So I need to reflect on my attitude towards sinners, is my heart in line with the heart of heaven or with the Pharisees? I know as my flesh sometimes I tend to point my finger and judge others, but I need to leave that to God and just be happy when a lost sheep is found and repents. They were are washed white as snow as I was when I repented, when Jesus saved me. I am not perfect and I fail Him daily. I was lost and the angels in heaven rejoiced for me, now I need to rejoice with the angels in heaven over all the sinners (sheep) who are found.

P- Lord Jesus, know my heart and remove anything that stops me from rejoicing with You. Empty me of me and fill me with You. I don't want to be in line with the Pharisees, I want to be in line with the heart of heaven. Guide and lead Lord. In Jesus name, Amen

Week 2 Wednesday SOAP: Jehovah Rohi

S- (NKJV) He will feed His flock like a shepherd; He will gather the lambs with His arms, and carry them in His bosom, and gently lead those who are with young.

O- Jesus will take good care of me holding me close to His heart and will lead me.

A- I love how God knew I was going to need a shepherd to take care of me in this world. That even when He knew we were ugly sinners He still wanted to protect us and guide us. Now that’s LOVE! He sent His only son to save us and love us, He sent Him to be my Good Shepherd. Knowing that sheep have to totally rely on the shepherd to survive, I too need to totally rely on Jesus my Good Shepherd to survive. Jesus feeds me, just like a shepherd feeds his flock with loving care. I belong to Jesus and I need Him to lead me and direct me or I will perish. When I get tangled up in this world of sinner web, My Good Shepherd rescues me. When I fall over and can’t get up, He comes and helps me up. When I get lost, because our flesh doesn’t always pay attention to where I'm going, Jesus will go looking for me. When I need protection Jesus uses His rod and staff to fight off whatever is threating me. When I'm in trouble or scared, He will comfort me. He knows me by name and knows everything about me. He knows what I sound like. He knows by the way I cry if I'm in trouble, or lost, or sick. He knows everything about me and loves me just the way I am, the bad things and all. He knows when I am sad, happy, or lonely. He carries me close to His heart, a safe and tender place. There is no other love like the love of Jesus my Good Shepherd.

P- Father, thank you for being my Good Shepherd. Thank you for protecting me, guiding me, and dying on the cross so that I might be saved. Forgive me if I don’t always follow You. Keep me on the right paths and show me the way You would like me to go. In Jesus name, Amen

Week 2 Tuesday SOAP: Jehovah Rohi

S- John 10:14-15 (NKJV) I am the Good Shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own. As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep.

O- Jesus is letting me, His sheep know that He is my Good Shepherd and He lays down His life for me.

A- Jesus came to give not take, and following His example, the true servant of Jesus Christ will give rather than take. So many people have the wrong concept of Jesus because of those who beg and rip off the people in His name, that isn't of Jesus. He came to give, Jesus came to offer life when we were facing the death sentence. But it was more than life, it was abundant life, better than we could ever imagine. He is our Good Shepherd. He knows me, I know Him. He loves me and I love Him. And because of what He did, I now have a beautiful relationship with the Good Shepherd. He gave His life for me. As I continue in this world I need to listen to my shepherd and follow Him daily. He is my door, and I need to stick to the truth and be aware of the hirelings who rob and destroy. But as long as I stay close to my Shepherd, He will guide me and protect me and keep me safe. This reminds me of John 14:6 "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me" My only way to God is though Jesus, My Good Shepherd, stick close to Him.

P- Jesus my Good Shepherd, thank you for tending to me, for loving me and guarding me always. Help me to learn to listen to You Jesus, teach me to hear your voice. Protect me from those hirelings in this world that rob and destroy. Keep me in your truth, knowing and praying on it daily. I love you Jesus. In Your precious name, Amen

Week 2 Monday SOAP: Jehovah Rohi

Week 2:  Jehovah Rohi "The Lord is our Shepherd"

S- The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in paths of righteousness for His name's sake.

O- The Lord is our Shepherd, we shall not want!

A- David was a shepherd boy, he knew well the responsibilities to the sheep. Protecting them from danger, finding good pasture, bringing them to still waters, and keeping them from straying. He sees God as his Shepherd and as a guide. I love how David uses this analogy to describe our God, Jehovah Rohi "The Lord is our Shepherd" and we are His sheep. My Shepherd will provide for me, refresh me and restore me. As I was studying deep into these verses, it is clear to me how much my Shepherd loves me. All that He does to protect me and keep me from straying away from Him and when I do, He will leave those 99 sheep just to come looking for me. He loves me that much.

  • Verse 1: The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. I shall not look to temporary things. "Does He not feed the birds of the air?" So many of us want material things like food, shelter, transportation, safety, etc. and think those things will be enough for us, that we need to have them, but our Shepherd says "you shall not want, for I will provide you with all that you need"

  • Verse 2: He makes me lie down in green pastures. He feeds His sheep, he provides us with the nourishment we need. Green pastures being the scriptures truth, always fresh, always rich, never exhausted. He leads me beside still waters. Still waters being the influence of the Holy Spirit. He knows we cant go there ourselves we need guidance. He refreshes us by providing.

  • Verse 3: He restores my soul. He gives us strength. He leads me in paths of righteousness for His name's sake. The Lord is our guide. There are so many times we come across "are we doing the right thing or not" or "Which path is right" Trust in the Lord with all your heart, for His name sake. He will lead us.

God says "I am the Good Shepherd" The shepherd knows His sheep and calls them by name and them out. He goes before His sheep and we follow Him, we know His voice. The Good Shepherd gives His life for His sheep. The Good Shepherd keeps His sheep and no man can pluck them out of His hand.

One of my favorite verses!!!

P- Lord, you are my Shepherd and I am your sheep. I thank you for always coming to look for me, for not letting me stray too long, thank you for nourishing me and guiding me. Forgive me when I tend to go at life on my own, when my flesh takes over and takes from you. Help me remember daily You are my protector, you are my refugee, you are all I want. Lord, forgive me that it has taken me years to come to the conclusion that I cant live life without You. I need you, every hour I need you, my one defense, my righteousness, Oh God how I need you. I give you my day Lord, lead me. In Jesus name, Amen.

Week 2 Challenge & Memory Verse Jehovah Rohi

Week 2 Challenge: Spend time researching the real-life occupation of a shepherd and the ways he cares for his sheep. What additional parallels can you find that illustrate the beautiful ways that God cares for us?

Above is the verse to memorize this week. Give it a try ladies. Knowing who we are, this should be an easy verse to memorize. We are His people and the sheep of his pasture :)

Week 2 Reading & SOAPing Plan

Week 1 Friday SOAP & Response: Jehovah-Jireh

S- His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to His own glory and excellence, by which He has granted to us His precious and very great promises, so that through then you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire.

O- 1. All power has been given to me for my spiritual life and my godliness through the knowledge of God himself. 2. He has given me access to His great and precious promises that will help me escape the corruption of this world.

A- God has supplied me with everything I need to live a successful Christian life. He really doesn't need to do anything else, He has provided all that is needed for my spiritual life, a life of godliness through the knowledge of Himself. The only way to have a full understanding and to truly know who God is, is to read the bible. He reveals to me who He is by His word. There's no way I can accept man's understanding because they are always centered around man's own understanding. Only God can reveal Himself to me. If I look to Jesus Christ I can come to a knowledge and understanding of God. And as I come to the knowledge and understanding of God, I grow in grace, and as I come to know the knowledge of God, I find that God has given me everything that I need for this life, a life of godliness. God's word has exceeding and precious promises and those promises bring me to a divine nature. I need to make sure I plant my seeds (GODS WORD) where it will grow and be nourished. Never stop studying, this is the only way to live a rich life in God. I can never get too much of it, NEVER!!! His word is alive and thriving!! And the best part about studying is that every time I read, I get something new from it, something fresh always ministers to my spirit. It never grows old. The bible constantly reveals its beauty to my heart as I read it, as I come to know God, as I grow in that grace through the knowledge of God through Jesus Christ. He has a promise for every situation in my life, all in the bible. No matter what the problem is, there is a promise to match the problem, a promise that speaks out to the problem, whatever it is God has given to me exceeding rich and precious promises that I can hold onto and claim. And by this I become a partaker of the divine nature that will help me escape the corruption of this world I live in. The lust of man, the greed. Thanks to the knowledge of God I am able to escape, so I need to keep feeding my spiritual life with the word of God, remembering He has given me everything I need to live a spiritual life with His promises.

P- Father God, I come to you in Jesus name. Lord I ask that you give me more of you everyday. Lord teach me to go to your promises for every situation in my life. Hold me accountable for when I seek other things and people before You Lord. Thank you for providing all that I need to live a righteous life for You. Consume me Lord, all of me! In Jesus name, Amen
