S- Matthew 6:31-33 (NKJV) "Therefore do no worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
O- Do not worry about what to wear, eat or drink. God knows what we need. Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.
A- I am not to worry about what I wear, eat, or drink. God knows I need those things, so He will take care of it. Just like the birds who do not plant or harvest, yet God feeds them. And the lilies of the field they neither toil nor spin, but they grow. So if God clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow thrown into the oven, would He not much more clothe me. This world promotes things that spin us into worry and anxiety. Models on front page magazines, gourmet foods, sex, alcohol, bigger cars, nicer homes, etc. God says "Don't worry about these things, remember who I am, remember I know what you need, seek My Kingdom and My righteousness first and I will take care of all your needs". If I seek things of this world first I get caught up in the worldly traps and I will not be able to get out of them. The worlds priorities are wrong and when we fall for them we say things like "I'll serve the Lord as soon as I get these things cleared up" or "Let me tend to myself first and then I will follow God" I live in such a ME ME ME world. The enemy likes to steal our joys. So I need to not worry and not let things of this world be primary things of my life, I need to let the primary thing be, to seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. God will take care of me, He knows the things I need. Remember Jesus said "when you pray don't think that you have to pray a long time" GOD KNOWS WHAT I NEED BEFORE I EVER ASK HIM and the Lord knows that I need these things. Priority is important, put first things first and God will take care of the rest.
P- Father, Hallowed be Your Name, may your Kingdom come and Your will be done here on earth as it is in heaven. Thank you Lord for knowing me inside and out and knowing what I need. I ask Father that you cleanse my heart and wash out anything that tends to come before you in my life. Protect me from the worldly traps that steal, corrupt and destroy us. Lift the scales from my eyes Lord, reveal to me the things that worry me, things that I need to give to you. I love you and as this all in Jesus name, Amen.
